well.....they showed that shunning video again.

you know...the one where goldilocks gets disfellowshipped- and the parents look across the hall at her with disdain.....yeah that video.. i was interested to see what kind of answers would be given during the discussion after the video and some of the reactions.

Those who DO NOT get a resurrection?

so we know that by jw logic, the idea is that everyone who dies is acquitted of their sin and will get a resurrection in the "new world".

however, those directly destroyed by god, or at his command will not.

(for example, those destroyed in the flood.

It is necessary that ALL be resurrected. Not a single soul will be overlooked or forgotten.

If the WTBorg Inc. Cult was truly anointed those in leadership roles would have the Mind of Christ; they'd have a solid comprehension of Bible Truth; they'd prophesy without falsehood and their lives would reflect the highest qualities of goodness and love.

Obviously that is not the case. Those men who proclaim themselves to be something they are not are therefore liars. They are doing the works of The Adversary. They are leading their followers away from what is Good under the guise of being the "chosen channel of the voice of God." Gotta give Satan very high marks for his creativity and cleverness.

i'm inclined to agree completely with this account of what paul really meant.. thoughts anyone?

Looks to me like this ultimately covers the "whole shebang."

This portion of the Scriptural Quote:

"...and with those who are not here with us today."

would include the whole rest of the creation; past, present and future. Looks like everybody is a part of it whether they realize it or not.

what would their response be... if they still remembered what jesus said in john 2:19-22.

There are many "sacred secrets" or mysteries which have not yet been revealed. One day we shall have all of the answers. In the meantime we ponder; we discuss; we debate. Our beliefs are diverse.

None of us yet has the Full and Complete Truth.

Old navy- how can I best wake up my still in family that they are in fact part of a high control cult as you put it?

As many here have advised, "waking up" any who are "deeply in" is a very difficult proposition because they're "mind controlled" to reject all things which run counter to their indoctrination. The Cult expends much effort in the conditioning process to instill great fear in the minds of the "believers" regarding "apostate" thoughts and literature.

Those who've had the best success warn about the temptation to make overt effort to convince the "believers" of the errors in their "faith" and the characteristics of the Cult. The risk is that rather than planting seeds to awaken them, the effort may instead drive them deeper into the Cult.

To me the best advice that I've heard is to simply treat them with loving kindness and show them by example that you're morally upright, ethical, honest and happy. Special emphasis on happy. What they see in you by example is much more powerful as a positive influence than anything said.

Once they've awakened to the point where they ask questions and are clearly looking for answers then more serious discussion can begin. But, they stress, the discussion must be non-confrontational, gentle, full of kindness and concern, and with much happiness.

That sort of advice to me makes much sense. I don't know if any of the discussion I had with active witnesses in the past ever contributed in any way to their potential awakening. I've not had any contact at all with any that I knew previously.
